Yoga Style

On one level, the classes offered are the same as anywhere else, moving and static postures, salutations, standing, inversions, sitting often accompanied by breath awareness.

While nearly all yoga classes have a meditative element to them, in the styles offered here the emphasis is on meditation.

In other words, meditative cues are offered throughout the class via postures cues, breath cues, affirmation suggestions, all pointing you towards a sense of peace. And this peace is what ever you want it to be, ‘quietness,’ ‘insight,’ ‘clearly thinking,’ ‘a sense of thankfulness,’ ‘joy,’ ‘clarity.’ These are some of the words that have been used to describe the class by students.

At the same time, a duty of care is applied throughout and based on trauma-based yoga and meditation, modifications, props, permissions, options are highlighted throughout. This, in my opinion makes the class standout with regards to professionalism, … in a safe and vigilant state.
